I spent an evening down on the banks of the River Mersey with my dad. We waited for over two hours to watch Cunard's cruise ship - the Queen Mary 2 - leave Liverpool and it was all completely worth it. I picked up some of my best drone footage to date! All filmed on my DJI Mavic Pro :)

The UK is a sea-faring nation, deeply in love with its maritime history and therefore, every time one of these majestic queens visit, it's always a big deal. It's almost like seeing an old friend? I remember as a kid back in 2003 going to see her for the first time in Southampton. 16 years later, here we were again.

The sunset was perfect as she set off from the historic waterfront, past the docks and out into Liverpool Bay, on her way up to Reykjavik in Iceland.
