It was a sunny but chilly day in November, so I paid a visit to the Devonshire maritime village of Appledore up on the North Devon coastline to explore. Across the river from Appledore is Instow, another small village where the river separates the two. Such a beautiful hidden away location with lots of quirky features. This video showcases some of its surrounding scenery.

Appledore is famed for its maritime heritage and renowned for its shipbuilding history. Appledore sits on the rugged North Devon coast, three miles north of Bideford. Along the village's quaint, narrow streets, you'll discover Elizabethan fishing cottages and a handful of excellent pubs, cafes and art galleries.

Instow

The small town of Instow is a great holiday destination all year round, located on an estuary where the Taw and Torridge rivers meet. It’s a peaceful and charming place to visit for the day or to stay for longer and is has long been a firm favourite with families for generations.
