Watch me use my cargobike to transport a 1.8 meter tall Christmas tree through the streets of Kuala Lumpur. I'm quite sure this doesn't happen every day.... ;-)

I purchased the Christmas tree in IKEA Cheras and bicycled through downtown Kuala Lumpur to my office in Bangsar. Quite a few people gave me the thumbs up. But the absolute highlight of the trip was when I was stopped by the police at a Covid-19 check point along the road. All seven police officers came over, because they were curious about the tree and my interesting looking cargobike. They were all smiles and could hardly believe it was a real tree. Upon departure, I got my first "Merry Christmas" greetings this year - from the Malaysian police :-)

The videos are filmed using my mobile phone, as my GoPro video camera unfortunately has been misplaced for several months. For this ride, however, I decided to do a few video shots given the unusual nature of this ride.

Enjoy the video - and Merry Christmas / happy holidays :-)

My Omnium cargobike is from Denmark, but available on their webshop. I got mine delivered within 1 week of ordering it! Several viewers asked about the bike, so here are the details.
Website: https://omniumcargo.dk/

Price: RM10,000 (USD2500) for the cargobike without electric motor
Price: RM15,000 (USD3750) for the cargobike with electric motor, which is the one I have. The electric motor is a Shimano STEPS 8000 power unit. Motor power is 250 W (the max limit allowed in the EU), the battery stores 0.5 kWh of electricity, giving a range of 80-100 km, and only costing RM0.20 (USD0.05) to charge. Cheap operating expenses :-)
