Katie started swing dancing in the summer of 2015 and immediately fell in love with the pastime. Eric became an avid swing dancer in 2017. Both started attending social classes around that same time. They first met in the fall of 2018, sharing some silly and memorable dances. But it wasn't until the following January that things started happening.

One morning, Katie was having a conversation with her close friend (and fellow swing dancer). She mentioned that she might be interested in Eric, but wasn't really sure yet. A few hours later at the weekly social dance, Eric approached Katie's friend asking if Katie was by chance single. She informed him that Katie was indeed single and she could almost guarantee that Katie would say yes if he were to ask her out. Sure enough, Eric asked Katie out to dinner shortly there after and the rest is history!

Their wedding day marked their 2-year anniversary.
