ABOUT THIS VLOG:

➡ On East Java you have some of the most remarkable volcanos on the planet and one in particular is not only remarkable, but one of a kind. It's the blue fire mountain with the formal name of Mount Ijen. This is one of only two volcanos on the world that produces blue fire as a result of an extraordinary high concentration of sulfur. This also attracts local miners who extract sulfur stone mass, which has to be the hardest job on earth as these guys carry up to 100 kg of sulfur stone on their shoulders all the way from the bottom of the crater. It's a physical achievement very few people can do, yet these people do three rounds each and every day. Meeting these super humans was quite the experience. It was surreal to see them in action and be part of a world that couldn't be further from the pleasant lives of us tourists and yet walking side by side down the the blue fire.
