Here we have a list over the cheapest houses in Iceland but housing prices have been ridiculously high here since 2010, or since finance companies began to play up the market after construction was halted for a time after the 2008 bank crash.

it's the same story with the rental market but it's by far the worst situation in Reykjavík so many people have moved away from the city and take on a long drive for work instead.

There are however few towns left with low prices, mostly due to lack of jobs or remote locations, far away from the major tourist spots so here they are.
