Solvang: An Authentically Danish-American Town. Founded in 1911, the community of Solvang holds Danish-American charm and tradition. It is most famous for its bakeries. They're known for serving authentic Danish treats like aebleskivers and other tempting pastries. A quick 45-minute drive from Santa Barbara, is a truly unique village rife with activities, seasonal festivals, wine-tasting rooms and delectable dining.
