The former Labour foreign secretary David Miliband says Joe Biden will be "warm" towards the UK but will also be "very realistic" about issues that the country is "struggling with".

Mr Miliband suggests the need to "sort out the ways in which we are going to cooperate on security terms, on intelligence terms, on foreign policy terms with the European Union" left the UK in "a weaker position".
