After one year of suspension because of COVID-19 epidemic, China's cruise industry resumed operations along the Yangtze River last March. Cruises are sailing at 75 percent capacity as recommended by the Chinese authorities. Onboard prevention measures like mask wearing, social distancing and constant ventilation are in place. All crew members are vaccinated and receive nucleic acid tests before setting out.

More Chinese people are opting for holiday cruises along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, known as the Three Gorges area, known of its natural landscape and biodiversity. Along the way, passengers can catch a glimpse of China's mega hydro-power project: The Three Gorges Dam.
