Following a seven-day passage from the Galapagos Islands to Vista Mar Marina in Panama, the crew of Gargoyle checks into the marina and the country. In the time of COVID, there is never a simple check-in procedure so after the now requisite nasal swabbing, we head to Panama City to see the Port Captain and Immigration. Once all the procedures are competed, we move Gargoyle and wait for a mechanic to begin knocking off our forty-item checklist of refit items before we can move on to the Caribbean. First on the list – Fix Overheating Diesel Engine!
