BBC TV production from 1992 depicting the events surrounding the 2 April 1982 Argentine invasion of the Falkland Islands (called "las islas Malvinas" by the Argentines), decried by the British Governor Rex Hunt as the titular "ungentlemanly act". Starring Ian Richardson as Governor Rex Hunt, Rosemary Leach as Mrs Mavis Hunt, Bob Peck as Major Mike Norman, head of the tiny defence squad of barely 70 Royal Marines up against an invasion force of over 500 Argentine soldiers, and Ian McNeice as Dick Baker, deputy governor and Rex Hunt's right-hand man. Written and directed by Stuart Urban and partially filmed at the actual locations in Stanley in the Falklands where the events took place (mostly at and around Government House); the radio broadcast in the film incorporates many of the actual lines spoken during the real-life broadcast on the Falkland Islands Broadcast Service (FIBS) on the night of 1-2 April 1982.
