President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the phone on Tuesday afternoon, which will be their third phone conversation since Trump took office. They last spoke in April following a terror attack in St. Petersburg, Russia. This will be the first time the two leaders communicate since Putin denounced a US military strike against Syria last month. The US strike was a response to the chemical attack that Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad used on the Syrian people. The FBI and a few Capitol Hill committees continue to investigate the ties between Trump and Russian interference during the 2016 presidential election campaign.
