This virtual session “Ocean and Human Health” was convened by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO in partnership with the Seas, Oceans and Public Health in Europe Project, the BlueHealth Project and the European Marine Board, as part of the Ocean Decade Virtual Series. This session explored how our health and well-being are closely connected to the ocean. It discussed the opportunities and challenges for the coming years and what could be the positive outcomes from transformative actions under the Ocean Decade and long-lasting benefits to both the ocean and society.
