The great journey to London in 2019 was unfortunately not in the van, not in our dear Rapido 896 f, WHY? Because it had already been shipped to New Zealand. The van was shipped from Southampton where we rented a MANUAL car (What's that)? Off to London, our favourite time in the UK because of the action. Off to Hampstead to join our friends, take in the music and theatre. Despite the weather becoming cold and wet. Air Studios, once owned by the late Sir George Martin is in Hampstead and I was delighted to see the famous Group Coldplay departing what would have been a grueling recording session. A quick walk past the house belonginging to the great magician Dynamo and then along Flask Walk. Down in the tube on the Northern line to the city and a few thousand steps along Bond Street, up through Piccadilly and to Denmark Street, Tottenham Court Road and then back to Hampstead. I saw some expensive guitars in Denmark Street, some great memories from the early sixties. A visit to the Apple store in Regent Street but disappointing due to the second class renovation they did there, sadly no more training classes in store unless you choose to sit on a box. Microsoft have outdone them after opening almost next door and creating a store worth visiting.
