In order to prevent more landslides from occurring in Manafwa district, the state minister for environment Dr Mary Gorreti Kitutu has started a tree planting campaign to restore the degraded Bukusu hill. The minister has also encouraged the digging of terraces around the hill to prevent soil erosion that might result into landslides.#NTVNews
