In June 2018, we completed a self drive tour circling in the land of fire and ice to see a lots of iconic landmarks in 4 days.
We quickly realised N1 stations would be our best friends as they had petrol for the car, coffee, etc..

Midnight sun is visible at all times. Means that there is daylight for 24 hours each day in June, so it's possible to explore the landscape at nighttime just as well as during daytime.

Challenges arose in keeping up with the itinerary due to there being so much to see and wanting to enjoy the stops. Each night we would go over when we should wake up, visit destination 1, when to leave destination 1 to catch a tour at destination 2, etc etc.

If you've been thinking of visiting Iceland I hope this helps solidify your decision - this place is a different planet and a life changing!

June 3 - Day 1
- Iceland arrival at 2pm and collect car
- Reykjavik Hallsgrimskirkja Church
- Gulfoss Golden waterfall
- Geysir Geothermal area
- Stay in white house hate (best airbnb in town)

Day 2
- Keiro Crater
- Seljalandfoss waterfall
- Skogafoss waterfall
- stay in Skogafoss hotel

Day 3
- Black Beach and Basalt columns
- Blue Lagoon
- Stay in Hotel Svitan nearby blue lagoon

Day 4
- Flight back to Copenhagen for Denmark for my "real work"
