Hitchhike trip in Europe

One month ago me and my friend decided to go on a spontaneous trip (actually i seduced him). So somehow we managed to buy one way tickets to Bergamo. And that is where our journey started. Also, there was a little of a challenge to get to the airport in Vilnius but somehow we made it on time. In a short period of 9 days we travelled more than 5000km (3000+km by hitchhiking, from which 1000+ km were free riding with public transport, such as: trains, metro's, busses, trams). We visited 6 countries: Italy, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Germany, Netherlands and Poland. Unfortunately, we didn't had enough time to see France (Strasbourg), Belgium (Brussels) and Denmark(Copenhagen). That was because of a absence of time - we had to return to high school :D However, I still believe its stunning that accomplished this distance knowing the fact this HH journey was my first one( not including my short HH in Lithuania. In a contrary my friend has HH last summer to Venice from Vilnius). What do you think guys?
In a future I am planning to do more trips all around the world and explore everything as possible.
