On November 26, 2020, my then colleagues in BISU (Bohol Philippines) visited me here in Christchurch. We drove to the City Center. We took videos on the historic place and then went inside Riverside Market. After that we moved to the botanic gardens. I don’t have so much to tell about the first two places I’ve mentioned but I have sufficient information about the botanic gardens. I got these facts from the newzealand.com. - The Christchurch Botanic Gardens are located in the central city of Christchurch, New Zealand. These gardens were founded in 1863 when an English oak was planted to commemorate the solemnisation of the marriage of Prince Albert and Princess Alexandra of Denmark. (Wikipedia) The Gardens sprawl over an area of 21 hectares and lie adjacent to the loop of the Avon River next to Hagley Park. The Christchurch Botanic Gardens have a variety of collection of exotic and local plants of New Zealand. Adjacent to the rose garden is the New Zealand garden, which provides an introduction to native species. The conservatory complex displays everything from cacti and succulents to tropical orchids and carnivorous plants. (newzealand.com)
Moreover, the Christchurch Botanic Gardens or the green heart of the Garden City are open every day from 7am and admission is free. (newzealand.com). Me and my friends went to the Central Rose Garden, Hagley Park, Christchurch. Accordingly, it is the first public rose garden developed in New Zealand in 1909. It lies in the centre of the Botanical gardens with over 250 varieties of roses. The rose petals are of different sizes and colors. We’re so glad watching the flowers moved as the wind blew.
After our quick visit in these places, we proceeded to the Fisherman’s Wharf to see the beauty of this place. Unfortunately, it was very foggy that we can’t see anything except the road and the blurry views below. We’re a bit dismayed because we failed to see the beauty of nature on that area, but we enjoyed the ride and the company of friends. To those who love to travel especially my relatives and friends, I am encouraging you to include New Zealand in your present and future travel bucket list. This country has a lot of natural and amazing sceneries to offer. Come and visit here to witness and enjoy the beauty of nature. In closing, I give thanks to our God Almighty for the gift of life and friends and for letting me feel of His presence as manifested by His wonderful creations. To God is the Highest Glory Forever!????❤️????. Hope you enjoy watching this video. (To be continued)
